BETA -- IoT Edge Deployment and the associated ECY Server Firmware are in beta.
Deploying docker compatible containers to an ECY-APEX Controller is currently in beta and intended to be used by a developer. Examples provided in the Distech Controls Wiki for container deployments are there demonstrate the capability of running containers on an ECY Apex and not intended for a production enviornments.
¶ Requirements
In order to use an edge device with the Cloud Relay, the following requirements need to be met/installed:
- ECY-APEX Controller with proper licensing (ECLYPSE)
- ECY Server firmware v1.17.21214.427 BETA or higher (ECLYPSE)
- An active IoT Hub with Cloud Relay properly installed.
- Device is connected to the Azure IoT Hub as an "Edge Device" with a dedicated connection string (for ECLYPSE, this is configured in the IoT section of the controller web page under the heading "IoT Edge").
Node-RED Node-RED is a programming tool for wiring together hardware devices, APIs and online services in new and interesting ways.
